Today, most importantly is a day to remember everyone who innocently lost and sacrificed giving their lives to fight for our nation. Our fallen soldiers, firefighters, policemen, passengers, pilots, civilians and everyone who was involved in one of the most tragic events in history. After 9/11, our nation grew together, loved others more, put their trust in God, prayed for one another, invited strangers in and extended grace to families who lost loved ones.
Let us not forget where we came from.
Wake up! We need this reminder today more than ever!
I was 11 years old on this day and in the 6th grade. I did not really understand what was happening at the time and people just wanted to protect the minds of little ones. I remember just mass chaos over my whole school campus. The thing we need to remember in all of this, is that the Lord God is sovereign over all and that this did not come as a surprise to Him.
2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land."
"Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that the LORD, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.
Thank you to all who have served this nation & those who continue to fight for our freedom!
What if we raised our White flags? and what if we surrendered all to Him?
It doesn't mean that we will have a perfect life free from suffering. It doesn't mean that we all become rich. It doesn't mean that we will be perfect.
It means that His grace is sufficient. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. It means that we will be made new and alive in Christ. For the old has passed away and the new has come.
Behold, He is making all things new again.
We were born into this world, a people that were separated from God but by his grace and mercy - He gave us the perfect gift of salvation through Christ Jesus, not by works so that no man can boast. It is by grace and faith alone. There is redemption for us and that who so ever believes in Him and calls on the name of the Lord, will be saved.
The battle rages on, as storm and tempest roar.
We cannot win this fight inside our rebel hearts. Were laying down our weapons now.
We raise our white flag, we surrender all to You, all for You.
