High Point Market 2015

Where do I even begin!?! Furniture market was unbelievable! Thank you to all of those who worked so hard to prepare for this event. Each booth was so whimsical and so well put together. Pictures cannot even capture the beauty.

For those of you who love household products, textiles, lighting, accessories and much more-HPM would have had you thinking you were in paradise. Paradise for designers. My hope is not in things of the world or material things but I sure can appreciate the talent, skill and inspiration these designers bring from all over the world.

First stop...
Visual Comfort
I met two very important people yesterday and I can't say I didn't freak out a little bit. These people I met are the owner and CEO of two design lines I absolutely LOVE!
While I sat down at a small table to eat lunch outside of Visual Comfort, I struck up conversation with a lady named Gale Singer, the Owner of Circa Lighting. When she toId me this, I was in shock! You mean to tell me, I'm sitting there eating lunch and having conversation with a big time designer!? What are the chances! I had a lunch date with Gale Singer!

Next stop...
Currey & Company.

I asked to speak with the CEO. I met the CEO, Sonny Koontz.
I'm a firm believer that if you never ask, you'll never know. He was the nicest man and spent an hour with me, alone! DURING MARKET! This is the craziest time of the year and he spent an hour with ME! I'm so honored to have met these people and see the impact they have had in the design industry. I'm still on cloud 9 suffice to say!

Be vulnerable. Ask questions. Put yourself out there!
You never know where the road you're on will take you.
